Great work culture, supportive, fun. Strong sense of cooperation and teamwork to get things done. Structure and hierarchy are visible, but leadership is encouraged across all levels. There are opportunities to socialise with colleagues in and out of office hours.
Culture varies widely across the department with different groups having vastly different cultures. The structure is very flat allowing even grads to have conversations with SES.
Being APS, there is quite a lot of hierarchy in terms of approvals in particular and each team approaches that differently. All colleagues I have interacted with have been welcoming, friendly and cooperative.
Positive on the whole. People are friendly and willing to help each other. Different areas are known to have better culture than others.
It's a very good environment. You have to enjoy the hustle and the fast pace, use the networks to your advantage. It's a good workplace if you're social and looking to make connections in the APS.
