Graduate training is great, we have monthly modules and lunch and learns as a grad cohort (1st and 2nd years) and then all first year grads (Aus and NZ) head to Auckland for 2x days of training.
Very few training opportunities as the department has no money to train people. If it's free it is often encouraged. Graduates are an exception to this however, we have received exceptional training
We had a well curated induction week and have fortnightly training sessions throughout the year. Some of the trainings don't feel useful, but I'm sure we will draw on the learnings one day. We get a mentor and a buddy from the previous graduate cohort which has been very helpful. We have performance goals and discussions with each rotation supervisor.
Entry Level Programmes team provides extensive opportunities for us to learn, both through formal training and through informing us of other available opportunities. In-build performance monitoring which assists which development throughout the program.
We've had extensive mandatory and optional training. Performance reviews each rotation and for the probation. Mentor and buddy also offered alongside wellbeing chats every few months.
