There are good opportunities for career progression within TMR. As a graduate, there is a structured classification progression pathway where employees can advance through salary increments and position levels as they gain experience and demonstrate capability. This provides clear visibility of career growth in the early stages of your career. Beyond this, promotion opportunities are supported through mentoring, training, professional development programs, and exposure to a wide range of projects and technical disciplines. The graduate program rotations help employees build broad experience and identify areas of interest for future career growth. TMR provides strong opportunities to fulfil career aspirations due to the variety of engineering roles available across the organisation and its commitment to employee development. Whether your interests lie in design, project delivery, asset management, planning, or specialist technical areas, there are pathways to continue developing and advancing your career.

There are opportunities to progress, however these don't come very often, as there are a finite number of roles available at TMR and so someone needs to step away from their role for it to become available. You also need to formally apply for higher roles, these can't be awarded based on your interest and performance without everyone having an equal opportunity.

There are good promotion opportunities within the organisation, particularly through structured classification levels and internal movement between teams. Progression generally comes from gaining experience, developing technical skills, and consistently performing well. TMR does support career development, with opportunities to work across different projects and build a broader skill set.
