There are plenty of opportunities for socialising and the people are great - very friendly and good company.
Difficult question. Fundamentally, lawyers generally are high functioning, smart people who are often good conversationalists. I would say in office it's great - everyone is lovely and there is a sense of calm camaraderie amongst teams. That seems like all you can ask for. Out of office is tricky because so many employees have families, mortgages and billable targets that you might not see a huge 'buy-in' at regular/average out of office activities. Maybe 2-3 times a year there is a big function where everyone will excitedly talk about it and have a great time. Can be fun to interact with people in that different light.
