Yes, we can request a career review from the branch manager at any time if we feel ready and confident. Managers also conduct career reviews regularly, and during these, we can discuss with them how to progress to the next level and what areas we should develop
I think theres like 10 levels of engineer you can move up and you do performance reviews sometimes where you get checked against a list of competencies to see if you go up a level or not.
