At this stage I am still undergoing generic training set by the graduate team. More role based training would have been more beneficial.
Studying for certifications
My role is Cyber Security Analyst, and I work in the SOC team. My main responsibilities involve handling alerts for suspicious behaviour in our clients' networks using various SIEM tools. I also get assigned specific threats to investigate and report on, determining whether they are present in our clients' environments. At times, I raise incidents in ServiceNow, create automation rules in order to fine tune benign alerts and contribute to the monthly reports we prepare for clients. There are many different tools and tasks to learn, and with the support of my team, I'm really enjoying the work.
