As a trainee, you will train with various people ranging from experienced traders to senior traders to trading team leads. As a junior, you are encouraged to think critically about the trading problem even before joining a desk. You will complete projects and practical training that demonstrate an ability to contribute to the success of a desk. The structure is very flat where you are more than encouraged to ask questions and ask for feedback on progress. Everyone from trading to tech to quant are very open to ensure you have sufficient mentorship and learning from day 1. When joining a desk, the team is very collaborative and open to ideas, even at a junior level. We have various social events after hours including sports events, drinks and poker nights.
The workplace has a very flat hierarchy with ideas being respected based on merit rather than the seniority of the person presenting them. There are good after work activities with monthly whole of office breakfast, lunches or dinners.
