The BNE office is quite small and not a lot of stand-sit desks are available, so if you are not a morning person and you come in on a day that is busy then likely you won't get a desk with a second screen etc. However, this is not the case all the time. I've never struggled for a desk. The building is pretty good as well and facilities are on point. We have a end-of-trip facilities which is convenient if for example I'm walking into the city to work. Office also has a great location, near restaurants and coffee shops and the occasional Woolies trip if we ran out of milk for coffee. We also have a coffee machine in the office :)
The Brisbane office is beautiful and in a great location close to the train station. There are very limited desks with monitors (only 8 for a team of 40+ people), so most people often work from client site or from home. There are only 3 meeting rooms, which can be very limiting when the office is full and people need the rooms for online client meetings.
The company's facilities are great however the actual office we have has no natural light. Unfortunate because natural light would definitely make the office space feel better. Artificial light is truly not the same so feel a bit dull and definitely feels more like an office. Although buildings facilities are great.
Not super great right now but I believe we’re moving into a fantastic office space shortly (the new Commons!) so I’m very excited for that.
Our office is fit for purpose, located very conveniently and with good facilities. If more people were to attend the office on a regular basis, it may become crowded. We have a dress-for-your-day dress code, meaning the employee is empowered to use common sense to dress appropriately based on the day's work requirements. You can wear casual within the office if there is no need to dress formally.
