I was able to join in on a project. Day-to-day tasks included consults, excel spreadsheets and powerpoint slide generation.
As a junior within my team, a large amount of the work that I do is administrative. While this is largely inevitable in this industry, I do appreciate the variety of tasks that this comprises, and this includes Excel modelling, report writing, and completing statutory lodgements. What I do think separates FTI however is that my managers are constantly looking for opportunities to involve me in different activities. Some of my recent favourites have been attending property inspections, impromptu meetings with potential clients and meetings with creditors. While much of the most interesting work in this field is completed by those with years of experience, I am fortunate to enjoy the work that I do.
