Career opportunities come up as the business grows. During slow and steady business growth faces like the one we are in, they are fewer opportunities to move around which can be limiting on personal/career growth of individuals, especially graduates. That being said if you are eager and can show you are committed, hard-working, and knowledgeable/skilled in your field of expertise, there are definitely opportunities to obtain promotions and move up in the company given new opportunities come about.
Seems very open to be able to move to new locations and move into other roles. I have made my short-term career aspirations clear to my manager and he has taken it on board. For example, I have mentioned that I would love to travel within my role. He has been keeping an eye out for opportunities in all different projects to make sure I can travel. If he is able to help me, I am confident that he will.
