Managers are approachable and direct. They will provide honest feedback, whether positive or negative, and ensure all your answer/queries are answered. Most managers have a great grasp of the teams area of expertise and can provide meaningful direction and solutions to issues you encounter.

My manager always makes sure to be available for me and will always make sure that I am doing work that I am interested in and are not too stressed. He is a realist and says things as they are. He is very helpful when I have issues, if that is simply to connect me with someone who has the correct answers.
