Great interview and assessments, very personable and apt assessment.
I applied for the john holland graduate program in early 2020, where I had to complete and online assessment, a virtual assessment centre with other candidates, then a virtual interview with a hr rep and manager from the rail business. I was offered the role in the graduate program by june-july 2020.
During the assessment centre we were asked to analyse and answer questions about a civil engineering project as a group. This stumped a lot of the attendees as it is quite unusual to see purely engineering questions when applying for an it role. This added an unexpected challenge to the assessment centre process that may have been difficult to prepare for. As I came from an engineering background this was not an unfamiliar process and did not pose a huge challenge.
The interview process and assessments were well put together, and more streamlined than other companies. The assessment centre was online and only went for 3-4 hours, which I really appreciated as others had full day events (with lots of filler).
