At the moment, my role involves analysing the drawings for an entire treatment plant and writing many O&M, SOP, and allocating maintenance plans to each part of the equipment. Its good experience to understand the design and treatment process, along with gaining an opportunity for higher important tasks afterwards.
At the moment I am satisfies with day-to-day task and always have something to keep me occupied. I enjoy most of the task I get given with most tasked at the moment teaching me brand new things and helping me to grow as an engineer. Even when it is not too busy, I am given the freedom to learn about new things that I wouldn't have though I would get to.
Business governance, sales and project support. Work tasks all feel very administrative with majority of work feeling like I am not gaining real project management experience. Over the last year I felt I have not grown in the PM experience and exposure feeling very low.
I have joined the company only recently in a transition period where the workload has been light. However, once there are more opportunities my work is likely to consist of performing calculations, creating engineering drawings and writing mechanical specifications.
Projects are interesting but some tasks assigned to graduates can be repetitive. Many projects are long-term ones which can limit the amount of variety in the work.
