Progression happens all the time at L'Oreal. I find that people tend to change roles every 18 months or so in the company, unless they specialise in something or are happy where they are. It is a case by case scenario, based on the roles available and the skill set that the applicant posesses - but L'Oreal has Learning Week multiple times a year, so there are always opportunities to develop your skills and relationships to work towards the role you are desiring. HR works with you to help you achieve your dream, and I have learned to trust the process - HR have their finger on the pulse and do a good job of managing what's best for you, but also what's best for the business. Global opportunities are available - I've seen employees move to the global or zone teams within 8 months, but I wouldn't say it is for everyone. If you really want to move internationally, it is definitely possible though.

At L'oreal it is very feasible to move horizontally and vertically up the ranks. Yes, my employer does provide career development opportunities via support from my manager, my M+2, HR and development team. To move up the ranks you need to have strong people skills, authentic connections, a hard work ethic, impact and be a reliable team member.
