The culture within the workplace has been great. The entire office has been super welcoming and supportive of the graduates and there is a real emphasis on improving us both as lawyers and as people. Within the office there is always a great vibe and lots of chance for conversations. Outside of working hours the firm has been awesome at providing events for colleagues to socialise and get to know each other outside of work, which has been super valuable as a graduate and new starter. It doesn't feel like there is a rigid structure or hierarchy within the firm and when working on certain matters everyone, from partner down to graduate, is involved and feels like they have a genuine role to play. All in all, everyone wants to see each other succeed and grow and that is really evident.
The firm is quite social in general, with many events and committees. Colleagues are easy to get along with and collaboration is clearly prioritised. The open floor plan assists in reducing any sense of 'hierarchy' between senior lawyers such as partners and junior employees.
