Learning different aspects of the business from all colleagues, but a large focus on learning from the branch manager. Good constructive performance feedback, regular check-ins, and plenty of mentoring. Learnt all the major systems that Linfox use for daily operations.

The role combines practical experience with formal training, allowing me to develop a broad understanding of logistics, supply chain operations, stakeholder management, safety, and continuous improvement. I've gained skills in data analysis, problem-solving, project management, communication, and working effectively with cross-functional teams.

The training programmes in my role have been exceptional, I have learnt so much in a span of a few months than I had in years in higher education. With 18 months in the program and rotating every 3 months to different IT department teams, you get to learn so much about each team, their work processes, systems and procedures. In the Warehouse solutions team, I picked up the skill of SAP EWM which has been very important and fun to use. In the Transport solutions team, I picked up the skill of utilising their system (mtdata and erunsheets). These are just the most notable skills however; there has been much more in which I have picked up. The coaching/mentoring also depends on the team you are in, as some people are more hands on in terms of mentoring than others, however overall, everyone is willing to teach you. In the graduate program, you get to learn so many diverse skills in business, technology and interpersonal, it prepares you so well for when you enter a full-time role, as you get to learn and complete work in a full-time role environment, without the stress and worry of failing or not knowing things.

I was able to complete my high risk license through Linfox as well as expand my knowledge on multiple tasks around the site. Various admin, physical, safety and ADHOC tasks were completed by me, expending my skillset and knowledge bandwidth within the company.
