I am a software engineer at the LMA research lab called AST. I work closely with researchers, cleaning up their code, integrating it into combined systems, and just getting stuff running. I've done most of my work in the backend in Python, but also do frontend work.
Depending on the state of the program, work can be very busy with days going very fast, or it can be slow and not a heap of work going on.
