Mars has many Inclusion and diversity groups that are targeted towards different groups. these groups help to raise awareness of different issues and celebrate through special events. some of our I&D groups include, Women at Mars, Aboriginal and Torres straight Islander, LGBTQ+, and disability awareness. often external people will come in and speak to help raise awareness around a specific problem or as a part of a celebration for example Thrive week (for Disability awareness). we are also given the opportunity to take 2 extra days of leave to donate time at a charity
We have trainings on understanding what it means to be inclusive and how we can ensure we create a work culture that celebrates diversity.
