Contract Administration - claim assessment - procurement - variations, notice of delays, extensions of time - supporting the management of subcontracts and head contracts
My role as a graduate engineer is mainly supporting the engineering team in managing the project I am working on. Recently, this has included procurement, managing fabrication jobs and ensuring quality requirements are adhered to. I have also written procedures and workpacks for onsite work, reviewed engineering drawings, written and responded to TQs, managed contract variations. I am satisfied with the tasks I have been given, and believe that more experience will result in more tasks being assigned to me.
Most of the time what I have to do is purposeful occasionally there are less meaningful tasks however they still have a teaching point behind them directly or indirectly. I support a wider team and business unit and constantly have new tasks to do from a range of managers depending on whos got work. All I have to do is ask for work and there will be plenty to do.
