Engineering design
My day-to-day changes week to week! It all depends on the projects you are involved in. On a very rough guide my role involves checking structural elements are designed to resist the required load of the building. This involves strength checks and also deflection parts. We then put these numbers into drawings that are drafted and sent out to builders and then built! We also deal with these builders answering questions about our designs.
I am given a lot of responsibility and I feel that I contribute meaningfully to the team and the office.
