Responding to correspondence and briefing needs, working on desktop research for policy, and attending meetings.
In my role, I work on projects that have a real impact on a large number of people, which is really rewarding. It’s motivating to know that the work I contribute to can help improve people’s experiences, and I hope to one day be able to look at a live website and say I helped make that better. On a day-to-day basis, I attend stand-ups and project meetings, work on designs in Figma, and collaborate with my team. I also take part in graduate events.
Day to day I assist the Registry by setting up the hearing rooms, preparing evidence for the hearings, editing and publishing tribunal decisions, and completing general admin work. I also complete legal research and assist the legal officer in policy work. Some days are a little bit mundane and repetitive but others are quite busy and the tasks are varied. It is often dependent on the urgency of matters and what is happening in the Registry.
