It was an easy process to follow and there was clear guidance on each part of the process.
There were many various online assessment stages (question responses, personality tests, pattern recognition tests, practice scenario tests etc.) before reaching the interview process, which had a group task component as well as an interview. After the interview there was a final talking video submission.
It was lengthy and thorough
The whole recruitment process for the graduate program is around 4-5 months. You'll need to submit an online application, then proceed to complete an individual task, personality test and psychometric assessment. If your application is accepted, you'll be required to book a time to complete an assessment centre with a group of other candidates and then an individual interview. This requires knowledge on the NSW Government's capability framework. If you are accepted at this stage, you'll need to complete pre-employment checks and then record a video to a question. At this stage, you are put in a talent pool for your specific stream, however, it can take a bit of time to be offered a role. I was offered a role in early November whereas other graduates were offered roles as late as mid-January, a few weeks before the program starts.
