As a relatively flat organisation, there aren't many ranks to climb up through, but with that said there are clear career progression pathways available. These are enough to satisfy my aspirations, with both senior individual contributor and team lead roles on the horizon.
There are many opportunities to progress through the ranks in Optiver. The promotion system is extremely transparent with multiple calibration steps to ensure fairness. Promotion is a very merit based system and you'll naturally find yourself promoted as you develop ownership of an area and become the domain expert.
