We are on the path to achieving something incredible to #MakeHistory and deliver a #smokefree future.
My employer seems to have open conversations with employees about their career aspirations with the opportunity to travel/work overseas and wants to keep us the employee happy. In terms of graduates, it seems to be an open system communication on our final job in line with what WE want to do and not where the company has a gap
I am only 6 months into the 18month graduate program, but I can see from the graduates who have come in previous years, that they have been able to develop significantly over the course of the program, and subsequently been offered permanent positions following the end of the graduate program, and even since then, have been able to move overseas and onto further roles beyond their initial ones post the program. The opportunity to work in different fields of the business means that you have the ability to develop in numerous areas that most people don't get the opportunity to do in their entire careers. It means you walk away with a significantly enhanced understanding of the business, and therefore can translate those learnings into improved outcomes in the next role you are given.
There is a lot of promotion and opportunities within the company as evident from those who were previously graduates. One of the ex graduates just moved overseas to New Zealand with the same company as a higher rank.
My line managers genuinely care about my development. They take the time to understand which roles I'm interested in and help me build the skills and experience needed to progress into those opportunities. They also actively encourage me to pursue development opportunities beyond my day-to-day responsibilities, which has supported both my professional growth and broader career development.
You complete multiple rotations whilst being a graduate, after 18 months you can be offered a role in an area that best suited you
