The training provided to grads greatly differs depending on the group that you are placed in for that particular rotation. I have experienced incredible structured training that genuinely helped me be better at my work from some groups and in others I received only basic if any formal training at all. The same applies for development opportunities which can be quite varied depending on which jobs you happen to be assigned so feels like a genuine luck of the draw and can sometimes even hinder peoples performance reviews as one grad may not have gotten as many opportunities to showcase their skills and develop due to the differing nature of work that they were provided compared to other grads in their cohort / rotation.
There is training for graduates on the basics and on internal systems. More specifically there is audit training for those in audit which is quite comprehensive - going through audit planning and audit fieldwork. Each graduate will also have a 'buddy' who is more experienced and is able to help them with any questions they have.
Training is provided especially for graduates just starting in new roles/new teams. Managers feel invested in your development, but sometimes grads can be excluded for team wide trainings on due to the nature of the rotation program (i.e. only permanently placed team members can attend)
First week involved a structured orientation with all graduates. There was also a national graduate conference over 3 days. Within the team, there were formal training sessions for the first week, then the rest was learning on the job. Plenty of support offered from colleagues.
