Culture varies significantly across different teams, but people are generally approachable and happy to be at Powerlink. However, you may occasionally come across siloing across teams which makes working effective difficult sometimes. Outside of work, Powerlink has an active social committee with regular events on and off campus. Additionally, there is an excellent community culture within the graduate cohort which one of strongest aspects of the grad program.
Graduates have the opportunity to rotate through multiple teams, which makes it easy to build a broad network and meet people across the business. The organisation has a clear structure including: employees, team leaders, managers, general managers, executive general managers and board members. Leaders are generally approachable and make an effort to engage with employees. There are a range of social clubs, networking groups, and workplace activities to connect with colleagues outside work.
Within office hours cooperation and teamwork is good generally within the team however outside of that it is a little bit siloed. Amongst other graduates, there is a big sense of community, a social club and quarterly outside of work hours activities. Because of this community and such a large cohort of graduates it is easy to understand how different areas of the business operate.
