- It is an international company and the plant is in Liverpool so there are a lot of people from all around the world. - In other areas, it might be more balanced, but in the area I work (operations), there aren't a lot of women, especially in management roles. There also aren't many female non-desk/blue-collar employees. There are some efforts to change this. - The company itself may officially have LGBTQ policies but since the people themselves aren't the most aware of queer issues, it doesn't feel very safe to be out. In saying that, introducing initiatives like 'Wear It Purple Day' or having mandatory HR training would not solve any issues but probably increase the number of derisive comments I hear. It doesn't really affect regular day-to-day life. - The workplace isn't very wheelchair-accessible - in the buildings and factories I work at, there are only stairs.
From my observation, the company demonstrates a strong commitment to diversity, particularly in recruitment. There is a noticeable effort to increase female representation in the workforce, and the overall team is diverse in terms of background, religion, and race, which creates a vibrant and inclusive environment.
