The amount of responsibility that is given does not justify the low salary that is provided for intern roles. I understand the role is more for gaining experience but the lack of support and guidance from managers makes it more of a proper role than an intern role.

It's a bit low compared to other grad roles but since I'm still learning and not really contributing a lot, I guess it's fair. I like that work hours can be flexible e.g. I don't have to work 9-5, I could work 8-4 - which means I don't have to take leave sometimes. While my gross salary is paid in home country currency and converted to AUD for use in Australia, it provides a quite stable income that supports my living expenses.
