Each team is different in terms of dynamics but from my experience, all the teams I have worked closely with have been friendly and supportive inside the office and after hours. In terms of upper management, I find that there are a lot of politics around people's positions and what is achieved by the ELT. Often this isn't filtered down.
As with any company, there are times when everyone is pushing hard to meet deadlines, but for the most part, the co-workers are always open to answering questions and providing support to graduates and other colleagues. This is a reflection of the 1Team values where everyone tries to do their bit to help achieve the overall company goal.
I commenced my tenure in a rotational-based graduate program and have had the opportunity to rotate in multiple departments in the organisation. I can say that the culture is slightly different from team to team. Some teams have a very strong social culture while others not so much. However, what they all have in common is strong organisational values and deep sense of respect for one another and ensuring that everyone feels like they belong.
