The employer is known for retaining their grads and providing ample professional development. A number of the senior leaders in the business all started as grads.
While on the mining engineer grad program there are no opportunities to get off the program early regardless of capability. Other disciplines in the grad program can do so however
I have had opportunities to work with many groups and people and departments and am optimistic about future careers with company.
Depends on if you wish to do a technical or leadership stream. Technical is difficult to progress as engineering prowess only increases with time. In leadership, there is a multitude of opportunities available if you're brave enough to grasp them. You do however have to really put yourself out there to be chosen for these opportunities. They will not be handed to you as a baseline for development. This includes technical training.
Career opportunities are very dependent on your direct leadership. In terms of exposure to site, projects and responsibility, I have been given more than enough opportunity. In terms of developmental training, technical training and role models, I haven't had much chance to progress or have had investment into my development in order to meet the demands of the responsibility I have been given.
