The mangers I have had have been absolutely amazing mentors. While I haven't had a female direct leader, I have had the opportunity to seek mentorship and guidance from women in the business. In addition to this, the direct managers I have had, have been very supportive of my career trajectory and show genuine care and interest in my development. As part of my program, we have 6-month check-ins with our rotation leader, and our development advisor, which has aided in acquiring regular feedback across the trajectory of the program.

My direct boss can be difficult to get in contact with. He's not much of a mentor, nor does he offer much performance feedback. Overall he isn't a poor boss, just a bit difficult to access at times. If I need support and I reach out, he will be there to assist if required.
Really good managers. More specifically, incredibly good superintendents. They will go out of their way to make sure that you are kept happy.
Managers are extremely busy, but when prompted they do tend to make time for you. Feedback and praise rarely comes from manager level however... Usually it comes from the superintendent level.
