I feel like my work makes a real difference. I've been trusted with alot of responsibility and accountability for projects that cost millions of dollars. I've been treated as a valuable member of the team and are regularly asked questions pertaining to my technical discipline. The day to day work can be quite fast-paced but is always mentally engaging and enjoyable.

I get given the full responsibility of the role which I like rather than working on projects that dont provide much value.

A lot of work is given with a lot of responsibility. Would be good to have more technical engineering work as a lot of ours is project based. Because we have so few engineers, we typically don't have the time to try designing. I participate in a lot of failure analysis and actions after the fact.

My current workload has been described as staggering. I spend a lot of time in the realm of defect elimination. Day to day: reviewing asset availability and defects, attending many meetings for different stakeholders, pushing along team improvement projects, working on personal projects for site improvement and asset breakdown problem solving. My role is almost a duel and carries a lot of engineering responsibility.

Every day is very different! I could be helping someone on call, making SCADA changes, reviewing a PLC or working on long term projects. However, in terms of project work, I do not have a lot of guidance for a site process of structure.
