I have the great opportunity to apply for the Graduate program next year, which will allow me to rotate through different parts of the business and gain different experiences. This will greatly help me to fulfil my career aspirations as I can gain a broad range of experience which will further my career, while also aiding me in determining what kind of work I enjoy doing the most.
Seems pretty easy to move up into management. Good PD opportunities offered as well.
There are yearly Performance development goals we can set with our managers and if we exceed at our work, we can get a higher grade of pay.
While the engineering graduate program is 3 years long, you may apply for permanent positions at the end of your second year. To win a permanent role often requires you to have had experience in that role or at least be very familiar with its inner workings. You are able to get this experience through the graduate program as you will be rotating every 6 months.. Furthermore, every rotation you complete can be seen as a 6 month interview. If you perform well and the rotation is in an area of interest, there is a high likelihood that a spot will be made available for you.
