We are a national policy body responsible for driving improvements in work health and safety policy and workers' compensation outcomes in Australia.
The Agency works with flexitime. The office is open from 7am to 7pm, with employees working somewhere within those hours (though most stick to 9-5ish). You are paid for 7.5 hours per day, but with flex can adjust this as needed.
I generally work 7.5 hours a day, and I can accrue flex if I need to work further. My work is supportive if you need to leave work early or start work early, as long as you speak with your supervisor beforehand.
I work 8-4 with a 30 minute lunch break. Flexibility is generally very good, but you do have to get special approval to start and finish earlier/later than the standard 8:30-5. There is no "after hours" culture at the APS levels, and having a good work/life balance is encouraged.
Yes, your normal hours are 7.5 hours per day
