Pay is average. Benefits are minor but nice (Dinner, Lunch, Uniform, IT Equipment, Etc.)
I believe my pay adequately reflects my current role as a graduate environmental advisor! I have noticed there is a wide range of graduate pay between different companies offering the same role. As for perks I don't think I have received anything, other than the StreamLife offers which I have not yet utilised as none are relevant for me.
The pay is decent for a graduate role, but for me the biggest benefit has been the experience, support, and flexibility provided throughout the program. It's a great environment for graduates to transition into the workforce, develop practical skills, and grow as engineers. One of the standout perks was attending the graduate O'Week in Melbourne. It felt a bit like university orientation and gave us the opportunity to learn more about the business, connect with other graduates, and meet senior leaders and executives. The company covered accommodation, meals, and activities, which made it a really enjoyable experience. I'm currently working at ConnectSydney, a joint venture involving Service Stream, and the work environment has been excellent. Everyone is approachable, supportive, and genuinely willing to help, teach, and share their knowledge. Having that level of support as a graduate has been one of the most valuable benefits of the role.
