I am in a different situation where I am not a new graduate. The culture has changed quite a bit since when I first started in 2022. Initially working from home on Fridays was avoided however now its mostly adopted across our team. This has resulted with less socialising across the team (no Friday lunch is organised anymore - only for resignations). The team is still quite balanced with managers and juniors feeling comfortable to have conversations with each other.

Strong social culture within my team

One of the highlights of our workplace is the strong kitchen and coffee culture. The kitchen is a popular gathering place where colleagues regularly connect, socialize, and share ideas. Many team members enjoy good coffee and informal catch-ups throughout the day, creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. These interactions contribute positively to team morale and wellbeing, helping balance the largely desk-based nature of our work.
