As interns, we were naturally expected to come into the office 5 days a week. They were accomodating of other interns' prior work commitments, and we could work from home when reasonable (e.g. when sick).
For a consulting firm, the hours are fairly reasonable. There is a strong element of trust in our firm - where managers trust you to deliver work and manage your time. On busier weeks where there may be a deliverable due, everyone chips in to meet deadlines, and you might find yourself working slightly longer hours than usual. However, this is carefully managed through resourcing, so you are rarely working overtime for consecutive weeks. We have 3 office days during the week and 2 days working from home.
Flexible - 3 days in office mandated, the other 2 days can WFH.
Work hours are pretty standard, 9-5:30pm for associates at the junior level. However you may still need to work on projects outside of those hours to fill in for busy periods. That being said it's less of an expectation. Rather the expectation is to produce good quality work (regardless of how long it takes you). So fairly flexible. I know the team in Melbourne is a big fan of working from home on Mondays and Fridays so I would say it is very flexible in that respect (though us interns were required to come in 5 days a week).
