The workplace culture is fantastic we're all close friends and would see each other outside of work when we get the chance. If you ever need help the person next to you is as willing to help as anyone else. We have monthly team activities which varies from go-karting, bowling or watching a game.
Despite being a big company, there is a big focus on workplace culture. Our office in particular will have lunch together most days and we get food on Fridays, regardless of office hierarchy. Outside of work, there are whole office events like minigolf or voluntary events like indoor soccer, corporate triathalthons etc.
Everyone in the office is seen as an equal, as a part of the family. Regular gatherings are held such as BBQs and social events for you to connect with your peers.
There is a good balance between collaboration and working solo in the office. If working in silence is your preference this office is good, for several hours a day the office is quiet and people are in a deep focus which is great for productivity. In saying that, most teams have about 2-3 people and open discussions will often be had in the office and Senior PM's and CM's are always available to weigh in where necessary. This makes teamwork and problem solving really easy. There is not a great deal of socialising outside of work besides EOFY and EOY events.
The workplace culture is really good. Everybody that I have worked with are willing and able to help me when I need assistance, greatly aiding my development and growth as an undergraduate. All team members are friendly and supportive, the workplace culture makes the team feel like a family. In terms of the structure and hierarchy, both the Construction Manager and Regional Manager facilitate the great working environment - they are also supportive and helpful. I will work in a team daily. Not only in the engineering team within the office, but also with the site based team members on the numerous jobs. Everybody works together on project delivery. As a part of my role, I have been paired with one of the Project Managers, so I work closely with them.
