The company places a strong emphasis on meeting environmental requirements and ensuring that projects are carried out responsibly. This includes following Council Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) and completing Melbourne Water check-ups where required to ensure projects are meeting relevant environmental standards. From my experience, there is a clear awareness of the environmental impact of construction activities, with processes in place to monitor and manage these impacts. I think Winslow does a good job of incorporating sustainability and environmental considerations into its projects, while there is always room to continue improving and adopting further sustainable practices.
Winslow procures materials whenever they can that offers minimal impact to the environment. We also have site environmental management plan that ensures that we have controls in place that minimizes our impact and disturbance to the environment and surrounding areas.
We use sustainable products which come at a higher cost just to reduce our footprint all the time, e.g. concrete CR etc.
