Great career progression out of the grad role, number of opportunities with your skills and opinion highly valued.
We have 4 rotations during the 2 year graduate program. We are able to "roll off" after the 3rd rotation but are encouraged to finish the whole program. Full time role applications can start around the 3rd rotation, and almost all grads get a full time role at the end. We are also told by Early Careers and others in the business that it's quite easy to move across roles, and we are not limited at all. Yes, I do think Transgrid encourages all employees to fulfil our career aspirations by having an open culture to people moving across business groups, as opportunities arise or by recommendation.
From what i’ve seen, there are definitely opportunities to move up at rcp if that’s what you’re aiming for. They’ve got a clear framework for progression, and it’s tied to both your skills and experience. Basically, if you’re proactive about learning and take advantage of the resources they offer - like training sessions, and mentorship - you can set yourself up for the next step. it’s not just about time in the role; you need to show you’re ready by building the right competencies and taking on more responsibility. The company makes it pretty clear what’s expected at each level, which helps you plan your development.
