I feel that our organization shows a strong and genuine commitment to sustainability. There’s a clear environmental policy in place that focuses on protecting the environment, reducing pollution, and complying with new zealand’s health, safety, and environmental regulations. It’s encouraging to see that sustainability is not just a policy on paper - it’s something we’re all involved in. there’s strong employee engagement too. The environmental working group leads many of our initiatives, and things like commuting surveys and project-level environmental plans show that sustainability is being integrated into our day-to-day work and decision-making. It’s great to see that we’re not just talking about sustainability - we’re actively working toward it.
I'm not really sure to be completely honest but i know the company is connecting a lot of renewables to the grid.
Again, i haven't been here for a particularly long time to assess this accurately, but so far from what i have seen they seem focused on sustainability. Most of their employee vehicle fleet is electric and i believe they intend to make them all electric within the next few years. In the role i have been in so far, there has been noticeable focus on choosing longevity of a product over cost.
