Very flexible and offer working at home to suit around your life. Usually work from home monday and Friday and office 3 days a week. work from roughly 8-4:45.

I work higher hours per week, but that is because we have a 9-day fortnight, so every other week there is a rostered day off (RDO) that's fully paid. Transgrid is also quite flexible with working arrangements, and teams tend to do 2-3 days WFH/office, depending on the manager/team. I have found no issues with having to leave early or take some time away to go to medical appointments, and then just making up the time later in lieu. The RDOs are also quite flexible and we can bank up to 3 days and take them again on other days when it's more suitable.

I currently work a 32-hour week while studying part-time, and my team has been really supportive of that setup. Day-to-day flexibility is pretty good - if something comes up like an appointment or a last-minute change, i just give my manager a heads-up. As long as i make up the time, it’s all good. for anything more structured or long-term, like changing my hours for a few weeks, i’d need to get formal approval from our office manager or project lead. Overall, i’ve found the flexibility to be really helpful in balancing work and study
