No specific training programs, just mentoring and support from team leaders and other team members.

I feel like I'm not in a position to really make the most of the training programs and as such haven't done any, although I do know they exist. I have had a lot of opportunities to grow and learn throughout this role however, and feel as though I am given the space to do so when I am not familiar with something.

As graduates we have access to a virtual database of training modules for soft-skill professional development topics and technical modules. I have completed a Microsoft Power BI course to learn the basics of building dashboards and reports for data analysis and visualisation. At the end of each rotation outgoing and incoming leaders meet with you to discuss learning opportunities and skills improved on through the time and projects worked on. I had the opportunity to project manage a project, which improved my leadership and stakeholder management skills immensely. There are lots of learning opportunities to learn what other teams do and how different sites operate through site tours and non-core shadow weeks.

Feedback is regular and constructive. A lot of training is on the job and the team dedicates a lot of time to showing and explaining things to me. Formal training is also available and encouraged. Recently I took part in an ASBNR short course (5 days, paid for by Unitywater) in Brisbane city which was an amazing opportunity to learn. I'm also on a list to get my forklift licence which will be really helpful to have.
