In my first rotation, i faced several challenges due to limited communication with my manager. Expectations were unclear, there were no one-on-one meetings, and issues i raised were not effectively addressed. In contrast, my second rotation has been a much more positive experience. I have regular weekly one-on-one meetings, and my manager actively includes me in projects and team discussions. They are highly accessible, responsive, and we collaborate in the office more than once a week, which has strengthened our working relationship. Additionally, i’ve been fortunate to have an excellent mentor—our interactions are both casual and insightful, and they consistently offer valuable advice while creating a supportive and positive environment.
I think managers are swamped with their own projects that they lack the time to manage / give support to their team
The managers are good but it seems because of their workload it sometimes limits the attention they can give to the team.
I have had very positive experiences with all of the managers i have worked under.
