I work in the sustainability team and can say my employer is committed to reducing the environmental impact of our project. We have to consider many different focus areas when undertaking out projects, but sustainability is definitely a key focus area.
There is a large emphasis on sustainable initiatives, especially within the construction sector. The organisation has ambitious targets to reach sustainability goals and decrease our carbon footprint, Initiatives surrounding diesel and concrete are underway, as they are large emission sources.
We have a sustainability team and aim to minimise the impacts of our projects on the environment. In office, there is minimal printing and hard copies of work.
