The training programmes are very detailed and cover a wide range of topics. For example, all junior lawyers have currently been invited to a series of lunch and learn sessions where Partners from the Project Finance and Project Development / Delivery teams discuss particular aspects of work, giving background information, how they approach it and why. In terms of my coaching and mentoring, the team I am in do not just review my work but they set down time to discuss their changes and why they made them. This has been very beneficial. I also have bi-monthly meetings with the Partner I am under to discuss my performance, whether there is any work that I would like to get more exposure to, and general career and life advice. These meetings are not a 10 minute chat over coffee, but rather a 1 hour discussion.
