The recruitment process for the graduate program started before and continued through the vacation program. The online assessments and interview were fairly standard compared to other companies, but the face-to-face interview was particularly valuable. I had the opportunity to speak with two senior engineers, which gave me a good understanding of the role and an insight into the company's culture. The process was professional, engaging and gave me a realistic view of what working at Woodside would be like.
For the vacation program, the first stage is an online application, you have to fill out lots of questions and information, then there is a set of games which assess your personality, then if you pass that there is a set of online interviews and after that there are in person interviews where they ask a series of both personal and technical questions. The only part of the process I didn't like was that they don't tell you where your role will be when you sign the contract. I did not have to apply or interview for the graduate program, we were told 3-4 months after the vacation program if we were accepted into the graduate program and then a few months after that I was asked if I wanted to start early.
The interview was very technical
It was very clear and the interview process was smooth and sufficient.
