During my years as an intern I have only completed one training course on Microsoft Excel. I would have liked to see some more opportunities for learning such as workshops or more courses, however I understand as an undergraduate, only working 2-3 days per week, prioritising time for this can be difficult.
I feel like the senior people in our team have taken me under their wing more than other teams would which is a good thing in my opinion as I feel like I have greater exposure
In terms of formal training programs, they have been a bit hard to engage with as they tend to be online video/reading modules followed by some multiple-choice questions. For the most part, these feel as if they are more a formality than actually existing to train people. The real training comes from doing work and receiving guidance and feedback such. This has been useful however it does require actively seeking out feedback otherwise you will generally not receive anything.
The training was pretty minimal but once given a task, if I needed help understanding concepts etc., people were always willing to explain things to me
