If you're competing for talent, you're probably already on Employer League.
At Employer League, we score and rank employers using the same transparent protocol, by career path, and across dimensions like pay, culture, progression, and hours.
This means scores and rankings on Employer League can't be bought or results manipulated in any way: only the data decides an employer's position.
We set this standard because for far too long, there has been a lack of transparency about who the truly exceptional employers are - and we believe the market deserves better. See more about our commitment to independence here.
For talent and employer brand teams, this creates three things worth paying attention to:
01
A position you can actually defend
Your score on Employer League is determined by verified data, not your marketing budget. That makes it citable internally - to executives, boards, to hiring managers who want to know where you actually stand relative to competitors.
02
Intelligence precise enough to act on
Broad benchmarks aren't useful. Employer League scores performance within specific career paths - not just engineering for example, but civil, mechanical, geotechnical and software engineering. That's where the competition is real, and where the data is actually usable.
03
A diagnostic, not just a rank
A position without a diagnosis is just a number. Employer League's reporting shows you what's driving your score - by career path and competitor - so decisions on pay, program design, and employee value proposition are backed by market data.
Employer FAQs
The Q&A below explain how the Employer League standard works in practice.
The Scoreboard
Why are we listed on Employer League?
Employer League scores and ranks every major employer under the same published Data Protocol using verified reviews, large-scale independent surveys, and reported market and industry data. You don't need to opt in to be included.
How is this different from other employer rankings?
Most rankings are pay-to-play. Ours aren't. Employer League scores and rankings can't be bought, negotiated, or suppressed. We believe independence is the only way to build a scoreboard worth trusting.
How does Employer League make money ?
Employer League generates revenue through two channels: sponsored visibility (clearly labelled in our ranking) and diagnostic analytics for employers. These tools give employers access to deeper benchmarking and competitive intelligence - but have no influence over scoring or ranking outcomes. Independence and commercial operations are strictly separated.
Can I opt out of being listed on Employer League?
No. We believe candidates deserve access to honest, unfiltered information about employers. Unlike other platforms that moderate aggressively, we will not remove a company's profile simply because the company asks us to. The only narrow exception is for formally dissolved companies. If a company has been legally dissolved, we may consider removing its employer profile after reviewing factors like ongoing user activity and remaining traffic to that profile. All other requests are reviewed on a case by case basis.
The Score
How are scores calculated?
Our data is based on large-scale independent surveys, verified employee and third party reviews, and market and reported data. You can view our full methodology and Data Protocol here.
What's the sample size for my score?
We publish minimum response thresholds and apply them consistently. Where data is limited, we show that clearly and avoid overstating precision.
How often is data updated?
Scores are updated on a rolling basis as new verified data is collected and processed under the Data Protocol. We show coverage and 'last updated' information so you can judge recency and confidence.
Can we change our score?
Not directly. Scores change only when the underlying data changes - which means the only way to move is to improve your actual performance.
Can we dispute a result?
If you believe there is a data integrity issue, contact us. We review every query against our published Data Protocol. We don't adjust scores under commercial pressure - only on verified data.
Reviews
How do you ensure review integrity?
Every review is subject to a verification process. We enforce minimum sample thresholds, verify identities and monitor for manipulation. We prioritise data quality over data volume to ensure the standard remains reliable.
What if a review is inaccurate or abusive?
We don't remove reviews because they are negative, but we do remove them if they breach our guidelines (e.g., personal attacks, breaches of confidentiality, or fake content). You can flag any review for investigation by contacting [email protected] .
What if we don't have reviews yet?
Most employers start without a substantial review base. We can provide a verified survey link for you to share with your employees. Responses are anonymous and submitted directly to Employer League. You have no visibility into individual responses and no ability to influence the result. Contact us at [email protected] to get started.
Employer Tools
What do employers get access to?
Every employer on the scoreboard has a public presence on the scoreboard. Employers can access diagnostic reporting and benchmarking to understand performance by career path, track movement over time, and export reports for internal stakeholders.
